Content Marketing Manager

The Role

We are looking for a talented Content Marketing Manager to take the helm at Kwanza. You will be responsible for testing distribution channels and delivering content for growth. You are good with AB testing and know how to track marketing metrics.

We are looking for a candidate who can help us communicate our values and product to a mainstream audience. 

You’ll play a big part in building our marketing engine, accelerating our SEO, lead and demand generation efforts.

You’ll help drive Kwanza from being focused entirely on building the best product for our users to creating killer content that communicates the value we bring to founders. 

Strategy

  • Lead and develop the overall marketing strategy to help us reach target customers
  • Run tests on various distribution channels to optimize for growth, i.e. AB testing
  • Have good working knowledge of how to assess the various customer acquisition channels, content marketing and social media
  • Identify and monitor key metrics
  • Develop co-ordinated campaigns for key product developments and releases

Content & Social Media

  • Create and deliver an engaging content calendar on our existing channels
  • Create and deliver engaging content additional channels identified through testing
  • Creating marketing assets with the help of a designer or using Canva
  • Creating content that educates, entertains & entices this audience
  • Ensuring content is produced in alignment with business goals
  • Working with sales, product and customer success to produce case studies and testimonials
  • Writing landing pages
  • Optimizing blogs
  • Posting on social and track and monitor the impact of all social media content

Brand

  • Play a key role in our (re-)branding process
  • Developing a brand strategy to communicate our values, product and USP clearly

Others

  • Create and publish email marketing campaigns to keep our user-base up to-date with the latest developments 
  • Working with PR agencies and influencers
  • Bring your own ideas to the table, we are looking for team members who can pro-actively identify and deliver solutions

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to write compelling web content (in the form of press releases, website and social media content, and copywriting)
  • Strong copy-editing skills, a keen eye for detail and good organisational skills
  • Experience setting up processes to identify successful distribution channels
  • Past experience building audiences and delivering successful marketing campaigns
  • Strong knowledge of marketing trends: you know what makes consumers tick
  • Strong communication skills. You should be able to distill complex ideas in a simple and accessible manner.
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • A knack for memes, and solid understanding of internet culture
  • Ability to deliver creative content via text, image and video (optional)
  • A love of writing and crafting the perfect message
  • Knowledge and experience working with content platforms such as Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, etc
  • Willing to learn and grow!

What we offer

Remote: CET or GMT time zones are preferred

Employment type: full time. Mostly remote.

Salary: competitive (+ exposure to upside)
